Job summary

Applewood Glass in Mississauga, ON is seeking a Construction Project Manager who is self-motivated with strong interpersonal skills to start as soon as possible.

The role requires budgeting, staff and subcontractor supervision, schedule management, contracts, quality control, and project design tasks across commercial/industrial builds, with CAD skills.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree is required.
• At least 5 years of experience in a related industry.
• Fluent in English with strong oral and written communication.
• Experience supervising employees in various areas is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit budget estimates for construction projects.
• Recruit, hire, and supervise staff and/or volunteers.
• Hire and supervise subcontractor activities.
• Plan and monitor construction schedules and milestones.
• Prepare contracts and negotiate revisions, changes, and additions to contractual agreements.
• Develop and implement quality control policies and procedures.
• Plan and manage budgets.
• Direct the purchase of building materials and land acquisition.
• Create and implement quality control programmes.
• Direct daily operations and project design efforts.
