Job summary

Western University in London, Ontario is seeking a Project Coordinator (Construction Specialist) to support Facilities Management in delivering construction and renovation projects on campus. The role requires strong project management, communication and stakeholder coordination to ensure timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.

Qualifications

• 5 years of project management experience in construction or renovation.
• Experience in a large, complex, institutional environment is preferred.
• Knowledge of Ontario Building Code, Ontario OHSA, guidelines and regulations.
• Ability to manage multiple activities and changing priorities.
• Demonstrated communication, reporting and stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead creation of project plans for each project and ensure delivery within timelines and budget.
• Lead tendering processes including consultant agreements, construction contracts, purchase requisitions, work orders and invoice approvals.
• Prepare and present updates to key groups throughout project lifecycles and support university communications.
• Ensure deliverables meet quality and customer satisfaction standards.
• Collaborate with internal and external parties to manage construction and renovation projects on Western's campus.
