Job summary

Scarborough Transit Connect is seeking an Accounting Analyst to support cost and financial reporting for the SSE-SRS project in Toronto. You will help prepare cost reports, perform reconciliations, and assist with month-end close and audits under the Finance Manager guidance.

The role emphasizes accurate financial reporting, adherence to budgets, and collaboration with internal/external stakeholders. CPA/CFA is a plus; SAP experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in financial accounting, cost management, or project finance.
• Strong foundation in cost management, reconciliations, and reporting.
• Experience with external/client-facing financial reporting is an asset.
• CPA or CFA designation (or pursuit) considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Support preparation and maintenance of cost/financial reports and schedules for project reporting.
• Perform cost reconciliations between systems, budgets, forecasts, and prior reports.
• Assist with month-end close activities related to project financials.
• Support invoicing, billing schedules, and reconciliation of costs.
• Maintain asset registry and fleet reporting with accurate cost tracking.
• Assist with audits by compiling reconciliation files and documentation.
• Identify issues and support process improvements in project financial reporting.
