Job summary

Highbridge Human Capital, Inc. seeks a Skilled Construction Labourer to support residential, commercial, and industrial construction projects. You will prepare sites, handle materials, and assist trades while following blueprints and safety guidelines.

Responsibilities include operating hand and power tools, performing concrete work, and maintaining a safe, efficient work environment. Overtime and long shifts are common; valid license and safety certifications are required.

Qualifications

• Load, unload, and transport construction materials and tools.
• Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Assist carpenters, electricians, plumbers, masons, and other skilled trades as required.
• Perform concrete work, including mixing, pouring, leveling, and finishing.
• Assist with framing, drywall installation, roofing, demolition, and general construction activities.
• Measure and cut materials according to project specifications.
• Operate light construction equipment such as compactors, skid steers, or forklifts (if certified).
• Follow blueprints, drawings, and supervisor instructions.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to occupational health and safety regulations.
• Inspect tools and equipment and report any maintenance or safety concerns.
• Complete assigned tasks within project timelines while maintaining high-quality workmanship.

Working Conditions:

• Work is performed on residential, commercial, or industrial construction sites.
• Frequent lifting, bending, climbing, and standing for extended periods.
• Exposure to dust, noise, and changing weather conditions.
• May require overtime, weekend work, or travel to different job sites.

Preferred Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• First Aid/CPR certification.
• CSTS 09 preferred
• Experience operating construction equipment or specialized tools.

10% vacation pay included on each paycheque. Typically, shifts are 11 to 12-hour days, with overtime paid at time-and-a-half after 8 hours a day and after 40 hours per week.
