Job summary

MCF Contracting Ltd. is hiring for a full-time construction position in Toronto, Ontario. The successful candidate will be responsible for loading and unloading construction materials, erecting and dismantling forms, and installing waterproofing systems, among other tasks.

Candidates must have at least 2 years of construction experience and the ability to handle physically demanding work. Medical benefits and other perks are offered after a probation period.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in construction work is required.
• Ability to operate pneumatic hammers, vibrators, and tampers as directed.
• Must be capable of handling heavy loads and working in physically demanding conditions.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload construction materials, moving them to work areas.
• Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, and ramps.
• Assist various tradespersons in construction activities.
• Remove rubble and debris at construction sites.

Skills

Experience with Sika/Emseal expansion joint glands

Experience with Sika MasterSeal 2000/2500/2900 and Bakor 790-11

Ability to learn and follow instructions

Physically fit for demanding tasks

Wage: $36.00 per hour (full-time position; 40 hours per week)

Various locations across the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) and Province of Ontario

Job Description

• Load and unload construction materials, and move materials to work areas
• Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps at construction sites
• Installation of mechanical expansion joints – specific experience with Sika/Emseal expansion joint glands is required
• Installation of waterproofing systems – specific experience with Sika MasterSeal 2000/2500/2900 and Bakor 790-11 is required
• Assist various tradespersons in construction activities
• Assist heavy equipment operators to secure special attachments to equipment, signal operators to guide them in moving equipment and provide assistance in other activities
• Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites using rakes, shovels, wheelbarrows and other equipment
• Operate pneumatic hammers, vibrators and tampers as directed
• Tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction such as mixers, compressors and pumps
• Perform other activities at construction sites, as directed.
