Job Description
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems
  • Fit and install trim items, such as doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware
  • Maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine specifications and calculate requirements
  • Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools
Job Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in carpentry work
  • Proficiency in handling saws, drills, laser levels, and other power tools
  • Ability to select and work with wood, metal, and composite materials
  • Adherence to local safety and building regulations
  • Strength to lift heavy materials and ability to stand, bend, and climb for long periods
  • Good hand-eye coordination for precision work and operating heavy machinery
  • Effective collaboration with team membersStrict adherence to safety protocols to prevent accidents
