Job summary

Oakridge Landscape (Oakridge Group Inc.) is seeking Construction Labourers to join the team in Hamilton, ON. Wages are $26.00 per hour with 30–50 hours per week, English language work, weekdays shifts.

Benefits include medical and dental insurance and group benefits after a 3-month probation. 2 full-time permanent positions available and posted expiry 30 Jul 2027. Training and safety programs are provided to new staff.

Qualifications

• The successful candidate will have 1–2 years as a Construction Labourer.
• Ability to interact with people effectively and professionally.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload materials and move them to work areas.
• Erect and dismantle concrete forms, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades.
• Mix and spread soils and concrete.
• Assist landscaping, paving and other trades on sites.
• Assist equipment operators to secure attachments and guide movement.
• Level earth to fine grade specifications.
• Remove rubble and debris using rakes, shovels, wheelbarrows.
• Operate pneumatic hammers, vibrators and tampers as directed.
• Direct traffic near job sites.
• Spread topsoil, lay sod, plant flowers and trees to support landscape construction.
• Perform other manual duties to clean and maintain landscaped environments.
• Participate in company safety training.

Oakridge Landscape is currently looking for Construction Labourers to join their team based out of Hannon Ontario. Their Construction Labourers are responsible to assist skilled tradespersons and perform labouring activities at job sites.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Load and unload various materials, and move materials to work areas.
• Erect and dismantle concrete forms, ramps, catwalks, shoring and barricades required at landscaped sites.
• Mix and spread materials such as soils and concrete.
• Assist landscaping, paving and other trades on sites.
• Assist heavy equipment operators to secure special attachments to equipment, signal operators to guide them in moving equipment and provide assistance in other activities.
• Level earth to fine grade specifications using rake and shovel.
• Remove rubble and other debris at job sites using rakes, shovels, wheelbarrows and other equipment.
• Operate pneumatic hammers, vibrators and tampers as directed.
• Direct traffic at or near job sites.
• Spread topsoil, lay sod, plant flowers, grass, shrubs and trees and perform other duties to assist with the construction of a landscape structures.
• Perform other manual duties to clean and maintain landscaped environments.
• Participate in company safety training.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• 1 to 2 years of experience as Construction Labourer is preferred.
• Ability to interact with people effectively and in a professional manner.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
