Job summary

FundyPros in Bathurst, Canada is seeking a motivated general labourer to join its growing construction team. You will assist with surface preparation, material handling, and support for framing, walls, and roofs on residential and commercial sites.

We value safety, reliability, and teamwork. Expect a Monday–Friday schedule with potential overtime and access to health/dental benefits, vacation pay, and training opportunities through the FundyPros School of Excellence.

Qualifications

• Experience in general labour or construction is preferred.
• Able to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting and standing.
• Willing to obtain required safety certifications (WHMIS, Working at Heights).

Responsibilities

• Clean and prepare surfaces
• Load, unload, and transport construction materials
• Mix, pour, and spread materials
• Assist in framing houses, erecting walls and building roofs
• Assist in demolishing buildings
• Clean and pile salvaged materials
• Perform routine maintenance work
• Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites
• Position and secure sheets to metal or wooden studs or joist

Qualifications and Qualities we look for:

• Previous experience in general labour, construction, or a related field is an asset (1–3 years preferred, but not required)
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, carrying, bending, and standing for extended periods
• Basic knowledge of construction tools and equipment is an asset
• Ability to follow instructions, work plans, and safety procedures accurately
• Strong work ethic with reliability and punctuality
• Commitment to maintaining a safe and clean work environment
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Good communication skills (English required; additional languages are an asset)
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation may be required depending on job site location
• Must have or be willing to obtain required safety certifications (e.g., WHMIS, Working at Heights)
