Job summary

Hardcastle Formwork Ltd. in Acton, ON is hiring a Construction labourer to join our outdoor site team. You will load and move materials, assist in building forms, walls, and roofs, and help prepare concrete and asphalt for paving.

We value reliability, teamwork, and the ability to work long hours in variable outdoor conditions. No formal education is required, though training will be provided; own transport is preferred and candidates must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• English fluency required.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload, and transport construction materials.

• Mix, pour, and spread concrete and asphalt.
• Assist framing of houses and roof construction.
• Level earth to fine grade.
• Pave and rake asphalt.
• Clean and pile salvaged materials.
• Remove rubble and debris from sites.

• The candidate must load, unload, and transport construction materials.
• The candidate must be capable of erecting and dismantling concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades.
• The candidate will be responsible for mixing, pouring, and spreading materials such as concrete and asphalt.
• The candidate will be required to assist in the framing of houses, the erection of walls, and the construction of roofs.
• The candidate must level earth to fine grade specifications.
• The candidate must pave and rake asphalt.
• The candidate must clean and pile salvaged materials.
• The candidate must remove rubble and other debris from construction sites.

Job Requirements

• The candidate should be fluent in English language.
• There are no standard education requirements such as a bachelor’s degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
• Training will be provided to the selected candidate.
• The candidate must be able to handle weight up to 23 kg (50 lbs).

• The candidate must be skilled in the construction of residential buildings.

Transportation/travel information

• The candidate must have their own transportation.

• The candidate should be prepared to perform physically demanding tasks as part of their daily work.
