Job summary

Contour Developments is seeking a highly skilled Formwork Carpenter and experienced labourer to support concrete construction projects across Canada. The role emphasizes safety and adherence to OH&S standards and company policies.

You will prepare and assemble formwork, install reinforcing materials, read blueprints, and participate in concrete placement and finishing. A 5+ year track record in construction and a valid driver's license are preferred; travel and LOA accommodations are provided.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in construction, with formwork carpentry.
• Must read and interpret blueprints accurately.
• Maintain full vaccination status for travel requirements.
• Strong safety focus and ability to work as a team.
• Willingness to travel across Canada.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and assemble structural formwork for concrete foundations.
• Install reinforcing materials and carpentry components.
• Interpret drawings and blueprints for accurate execution.
• Safely perform concrete placement and finishing.
• Assemble/disassemble scaffolding and manage site mobilization.

In this role, you will play a crucial part in our concrete and general construction projects. Your primary responsibilities include executing tasks safely and in strict compliance with OH&S legislation and company policies. These positions are for construction projects spanning across Canada. As part of our commitment to your success, we offer air travel to construction locations (with expenses covered by Contour) and provide a Live Out Allowance (LOA) as part of the employment package.

Skills

• Proficiently prepare and assemble structural formwork for concrete foundations.
• Skilled in installing reinforcing materials.
• Capable of interpreting and comprehending blueprints accurately.
• Experienced in the construction of suspended slabs and the erection of columns.
• Proficient in concrete placement and finishing techniques.
• Competent in the assembly and disassembly of scaffolding.
