We are seeking a Construction Inspector to perform QA/QC and construction verification inspections in Ontario. Your responsibilities will include:

1. Conducting on-site inspections of third-party attachments on electrical distribution poles to ensure compliance with Ontario Regulation 22/04 and Hydro One’s CVP;
2. Reviewing as-built documentation and verifying accuracy against field conditions;
3. Completing inspection records and certificates for compliant installations;
4. Identifying and reporting deficiencies, and ensuring corrective actions are documented and implemented;
5. Performing sampling QA/QC inspections and ensuring adherence to safety and technical standards;
6. Maintaining detailed records, reports, and documentation of findings and compliance status;
7. Communicating with stakeholders and ensuring documentation accuracy and timeliness;
8. Identifying hazards and adhering to safety protocols;
9. Participating in required training and refresher courses.

Your profile should include:

1. Background in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Utility Infrastructure (diploma or degree preferred);
2. At least 3 years of experience in electrical distribution QA/QC inspections or related fieldwork;
3. Familiarity with Ontario Regulation 22/04 and Hydro One’s CVP;
4. Knowledge of utility pole infrastructure, electrical safety, and design documentation;
5. Preferred P.Eng. license but not mandatory;
6. Valid driver’s license and ability to work in various locations;
7. Strong analytical, reporting, and communication skills;
8. Experience with GIS, digital tools, and data collection software.
