Environmental, Operations and Construction (EOC) operates within HDR's Federal Business Group, capable of delivering services across all HDR business groups at any location. Our work is performed by professional staff, scientists, and engineers at remote sites, embedded in client offices, or in our facilities. EOC delivers quality engineering, environmental, and construction management services at competitive prices.


HDR - EOC is seeking four full-time, on-site, Title II Construction Inspectors with Air Force Liquid Fuels Maintenance and Fuels Management experience for quality assurance services related to tank and POL repairs at multiple locations including Alaska, Guam, Andersen AFB, and Japan.


In the role of Construction Inspector II, responsibilities include:


  1. Providing Title II, full-time, on-site inspection services at various locations in the Pacific area.
  2. Monitoring and evaluating fuels construction projects to ensure quality standards are met.
  3. Reviewing construction material submittals and design documents for compliance.
  4. Inspecting civil, architectural, structural, electrical, and mechanical phases of construction.
  5. Coordinating with federal departments and personnel.
  6. Recommending solutions for design changes, errors, or deficiencies.
  7. Maintaining daily logs, validating updates, overseeing quality control, witnessing commissioning, and verifying punch lists.
  8. Preparing reports and representing the construction site.
  9. Ensuring schedules and timelines are met.
  10. Reading and interpreting drawings and specifications.
  11. Operating data entry and reporting tools.
  12. Performing physical activities in the field.
  13. Travel to designated locations.
  14. Demonstrating knowledge of construction materials and methods.
  15. Inspecting electrical, mechanical/HVAC, and civil works.
  16. Collaborating with project teams.
  17. Documenting construction observations.
  18. Guiding less experienced staff as needed.
  19. Performing additional duties as required.

Preferred qualifications include a technical degree, at least 5 years of experience, relevant certifications (API, STI, NACE, OSHA, USACE CQM), and specific expertise in POL systems and federal projects.


Required qualifications include a high school diploma, 3+ years of experience, proficiency with MS Office, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently and in teams. Drug screening and active participation in our culture are also required.
