Atlantica in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia seeks an experienced HSE Advisor to implement and promote Health, Safety and Environmental systems across project sites. You will drive safety culture, lead trainings, and ensure compliance with client requirements and regulations.

Role requires 5+ years in construction safety, an HSE qualification, and willingness to travel within Nova Scotia and beyond as needed. Permanent full-time position with standard work week.

Qualifikationen

• Five or more years of construction safety experience in industrial, commercial, or institutional environments.
• Diploma or degree in Health and Safety Management or equivalent.
• Knowledge of applicable government acts and regulations.
• Investigation training is an asset.
• NCSO designation is an asset.

Aufgaben

• Promote a strong safety culture and HSE program at job sites and offices.
• Work with project managers to set up projects per Atlantica procedures.
• Plan site activities including high-risk work and hazard assessments.
• Serve as main HSE contact between clients, project managers, and supervisors.
• Provide ongoing HSE guidance to ensure policy compliance.
• Conduct site inspections and review safety observations and risk assessments.
• Hold safety meetings and toolbox talks and distribute notices.
• Lead safety training programs, coordinate internal and external training.
• Track and report OHS statistics and create ad-hoc reports.
• Prepare OHS manuals and documentation for audits.
• Conduct incident investigations and support continuous safety improvements.
• Other duties to support HSE program.
