Job summary

Taggart Construction Limited and Doran Contractors Ltd. seek a Director of Finance, Construction to lead financial strategy, controls, and reporting across a multi-company portfolio. You will partner with the CFO and senior leaders to drive change and strengthen financial processes.

This hands-on role requires CPA designation, deep ASPE knowledge, and extensive construction accounting experience, including coordinating payroll and financing matters across entities.

Qualifications

• CPA designation required and senior finance leadership experience in a multi-company environment.
• Strong technical knowledge of ASPE and construction contract accounting.
• Experience with ERP implementations and finance transformation projects.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and technical finance leadership to controllers and accounting teams across Taggart Construction, Doran Contractors and equipment leasing operations.
• Ensure accurate monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting across multiple entities.
• Lead complex accounting matters including contracts, joint ventures, and statements of adjustment.
• Coordinate year-end audits and reviews with clear documentation for significant judgments.
