Job summary

LRO Staffing has a Controller opportunity in Cambridge, ON. This on-site role requires a CPA or equivalent, with 8+ years in accounting/finance, preferably in construction. You will lead corporate accounting, regulatory reporting, budgeting, and HR/IT oversight for a multi-sector construction group.

The position offers a salary of CAD 100,000–130,000 plus comprehensive benefits, with responsibilities spanning financial leadership and administrative oversight.

Qualifications

• CPA designation preferred.
• Degree in Accounting, Business, Finance or related field.
• 8+ years of accounting/finance experience; controller background in construction preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee full-cycle accounting, payroll for field and office staff.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements for leadership and stakeholders.
• Manage cash flow, budgets, forecasts, and internal controls; monitor compliance.
• Coordinate regulatory reporting and tax filings (CRA/WSIB).
• Lead HR processes and manage relationship with external IT provider.
