Job summary

Great Canadian Roofing & Siding is seeking a Construction Estimator to join our Calgary team. You will review drawings, gather quantities, and assist with cost calculations for materials, labour, and equipment, supporting proposal development and accurate bidding.

The role requires attention to detail, willingness to learn, and basic proficiency with Excel and Word. Roofing/insulation experience is a plus, with opportunities for growth within the estimating team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required or experienced-based.
• Post-secondary education in Construction Management, Architectural Technology, Engineering Technology, or related field is preferred.
• Valid Class 5 driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Experience in construction, roofing, insulation, or related trades is an asset.
• Willingness to learn estimating processes and tools.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel and Word).

Responsibilities

• Support preparation of project estimates by reviewing drawings and gathering quantities.
• Assist with cost calculations for materials, labour, and equipment.
• Help analyze tenders, verify scope details, and ensure estimates meet project requirements.
• Collaborate with management and sales to develop proposals and maintain supplier information.
• Present clear, complete estimates to support bidding and project outcomes.
