Job summary

Eagle Builders LP in Blackfalds, AB is seeking an experienced Estimator to turn drawings, specifications, and project information into accurate estimates that move projects forward with confidence.

You will analyze details, solve problems, and work with teams to support successful, on-time pre-construction efforts while applying knowledge from construction estimating and related fields.

Qualifications

• Strong numerical and analytical skills.
• Experience reading drawings and specifications.
• Ability to manage multiple estimates and deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal English.
• Experience with costing and budgeting.

Responsibilities

• Review drawings, specifications, and tender documents.
• Perform quantity take-offs and prepare detailed cost estimates.
• Prepare project budgets, pricing, and quotations.
• Communicate with vendors, suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams to gather pricing and project information.
• Identify potential risks, cost drivers, and value-engineering opportunities.
• Review project designs and specifications for practicality and cost-effectiveness.
• Ensure estimates are accurate, complete, and submitted within required deadlines.
• Support project teams throughout the pre-construction process.
• Maintain estimating data, records, and documentation.
• Follow company policies, procedures, and established estimating processes.
