Estimator

We have a fantastic opportunity for an Estimator to join an established main contractor based in Southampton. The business, a reputable regional contractor with a strong presence on the south coast, undertakes a diverse project portfolio including projects across the commercial, education, leisure, and extra care sectors, valuing up to £20 million.

About the role of Estimator:

As an Estimator, you will work closely with the pre-construction team to compile competitive bids. You will be able to tender projects independently and assist junior team members. You may also collaborate with other Estimators on larger, more complex bids.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Work from first principles
2. Independently tender projects valuing up to £20 million
3. Collaborate with Surveying and Operational teams to produce competitive tenders
4. Support and mentor junior staff

Key Requirements:

• Successful track record in tendering schemes up to £20 million
• Experience with competitive tendering and negotiated schemes
• Experience with single and two-stage tenders
• Live within a commutable distance to Southampton and willing to travel to office and site as required
• Full right to work in the UK
