Job summary

Primacorp Ventures Inc in Burnaby is seeking an experienced Red Seal Certified Electrician to join Vancouver Career College as a Part-Time Instructor. You will deliver engaging instruction, evaluate student progress, and mentor learners while contributing to curriculum development.

The role offers a very flexible part-time schedule and a pay range of $50–$55 per hour, with opportunities to share expertise and make a meaningful impact on trades students.

Qualifications

  • Red Seal Electrician Certificate of Qualification.
  • 5+ years of experience as a journeyperson in the electrical industry.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to inspire, motivate and support students.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver instruction that meets program and curriculum objectives.
  • Evaluate student performance fairly and consistently.
  • Support and mentor students throughout their learning journey.
  • Contribute to curriculum and instructional material development.
  • Uphold professionalism and student success standards.
  • Participate in program and campus activities.
  • Monitor and guide students during practicum/clinical placements (if required).

What We’re Looking For
Must Have:
  • Red Seal Electrician Certificate of Qualification.

  • Commitment to professionalism, equity, and quality service.
Nice to Have:
  • Previous teaching or instructor experience.
  • Credential in Adult Education (completed or in progress).
  • Familiarity with educational technologies and modern teaching methods.
