We are seeking a Construction Coordinator to join our growing Construction Management team at our Edmonton Modular Yard.

  • Develop piping fabrication packages
  • Request and monitor material status
  • Develop, submit, and track RFIs; analyze change impacts on cost and schedule
  • Communicate sequencing and priorities between Yard & Site, and between disciplines
  • Participate in schedule development and alignment
  • Ensure construction completion before walkdowns and turnover, track punches
  • Assist quality in completing construction check sheets
  • Ensure manpower and equipment align with scope, communicate issues
  • Track and communicate lessons learned

Job Specific Knowledge:

  • Understand proposal scope, deliverables, and your role
  • Develop and provide structural FIWPs to site teams
  • Prepare mark lists for tracking progress
  • Recognize risks and opportunities, analyze impacts, and develop mitigation plans
  • Plan and organize construction activities
  • Participate in bid kick-offs and reviews
  • Support estimating with accurate quantities and estimates
  • Provide structural take-offs and estimates to the estimating team
  • Assist in developing project execution plans
  • Coordinate with Construction Manager and Project Controls for erection plans and schedules
  • Contribute to scope clarifications
  • Ensure proper estimating applications are used
  • Experience in structural steel construction and erection
  • Work effectively under strict timelines
  • Prioritize based on field timelines and critical deliverables
  • Work well in a team environment
  • Pay close attention to detail and solve problems creatively
  • Meet the needs of site and management

Industry-specific Experience:

  • 3+ years in industry
  • 2+ years in piping supervision

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Technical training in structural and ornamental ironworks

HSE Capability:

  • Engage stakeholders in safety and environmental initiatives

IT Skills:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and scheduling tools
  • Experience with Navisworks
