Job description

As the Construction Coordinator for the KSPC team, you are responsible for the day-to-day field activities required for a safely executed project. This may include activities in the Wellfield or any projects undertaken and will include both construction and commissioning activities. This may include the overall coordination of multiple trades, contractors, and miscellaneous field activities. You will also perform the following tasks:

1. Monitor and coordinate daily project field activities ensuring safe execution of the project.
2. Assist in the development of construction execution plans for wellfield projects, sustaining capital projects, as well as any major maintenance projects (MOCs).
3. Support the change management process and be the first point of contact with contractors.
4. Look for ways to continuously improve our processes and work closely with contractors to ensure success while maintaining the budget and schedule.
5. Support the Bethune Site HSSE efforts throughout all stages of construction and commissioning.
6. Validate all Safe Work Permit requests.
7. Manage conflicts daily to ensure there are no delays in the scope of work.
8. Liaise with operations as required to ensure that all work requiring Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) has been completed and demonstrates zero energy prior to any work taking place.
9. Coordinate, inspect, and monitor construction and commissioning activities as required for the project.
10. Provide project timelines and updates to the project scheduler.
11. Ensure timely feedback on constructability and design improvements.

YOUR PROFILE

• Journeyperson Certification or Technologist in Electrical Instrumentation is preferred.
