Job summary

George Anderson, MLA's Constituency Office is seeking a Constituency Advisor to administer the office and advocate for constituents with the provincial government. You will support community outreach, manage communications, and coordinate volunteers.

You will handle information on legislation, develop outreach strategies, and oversee daily operations while maintaining professional discretion and political judgment.

Qualifications

• Excellent relationship-building and communication skills for diverse audiences.
• Experience developing communications strategies including written and visual content, graphics, photography, videography, storytelling, and digital communications across platforms.
• Proficiency in social media management, content creation, campaign planning, trend awareness, and promotional materials.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance and advocacy for constituents in their dealings with the provincial government or through referrals.
• Support the MLA’s work within communities through outreach and liaison.
• Provide information to constituents about provincial legislation and government positions.
• Manage social media accounts, including graphics, reels, content creation, and monitoring.
• Prepare communications materials such as advertising, newsletters, and websites.
• Oversee day-to-day Constituency Office operations, including correspondence, bookkeeping, and information management.
• Recruit, train, and supervise Constituency Office volunteers and practicum students.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
