Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 3 years related experience as a Funeral Assistant.
• Current state/province driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Arranges, conducts and directs bereavement rites, including funeral and memorial ceremonies.
• Confirms authorization to proceed with service arrangements.
• Ensures families are informed of veterans services and ensures delivery of recognition.
• Assists with funeral services: parking, ushering, driving vehicles, chapel and cemetery support, deliveries.
• Provides aftercare including delivery of documentation and insurance/pension information.
• Prepares documents and online entries related to services, cremations, and maintenance.
• Assists with general office duties including answering phones and preparing reports.
