The Opportunity
We are seeking a Legal Counsel to support our Legal Affairs team. The role involves providing legal expertise, strategic project involvement, M&A activities, contract drafting and negotiation, and portfolio management (IP, real estate, corporate records). The candidate must assess risks, ensure compliance, and protect company assets and reputation.

What You Will Do

  1. Provide legal advice on business and operational activities.
  2. Support strategic initiatives such as M&A, partnerships, and special projects.
  3. Draft, review, and negotiate commercial and real estate contracts.
  4. Manage intellectual property and real estate portfolios.
  5. Maintain corporate records for Medicom's legal entities.
  6. Conduct legal risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.
  7. Stay updated on relevant legal and regulatory developments.
  8. Participate in legal training, policy implementation, and compliance monitoring.
  9. Support cross-functional initiatives and legal research.
  10. Promote ethical practices and continuous improvement.

What You Bring

  1. Law degree and member in good standing of the Quebec Bar.
  2. 5–10 years of experience in corporate and commercial law.
  3. Bilingual in English and French with strong communication skills.
  4. Experience in M&A and contract negotiation.
  5. Knowledge of IP, trademarks, FDA, Health Canada, or regulated industries is an asset.
  6. Strong organizational, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  7. Ability to manage complex legal issues in a fast-paced environment.
  8. Proficiency in Microsoft 365 tools.
