Position Overview
We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Configuration Management Supervisor to oversee configuration and data management processes. The supervisor will ensure the integrity and accuracy of configuration data, supporting engineering and other departments as needed.
What You Will Do
- Coordinate and manage all configuration management activities, including planning, identification, control, status accounting, and audits.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of all configuration items to ensure data integrity.
- Implement and oversee change control processes, ensuring proper documentation, evaluation, approval, and implementation of changes.
- Provide accurate status accounting of configuration items and change documentation.
- Conduct audits to verify compliance and identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and operations teams to ensure proper configuration management.
- Maintain and update tools and systems used for configuration management.
- Prepare and present detailed reports on configuration activities, status, change logs, and audit findings.
- Identify and implement process improvements and best practices.
What You Will Bring
- Grade 12 Diploma or equivalent, plus two years of post-secondary training in a related technical field.
- Minimum of three years of hands-on experience in a technical field, with at least three years in aircraft configuration control and technical data management.
- Experience in database development and management.
- Strong technical writing skills and background.
- Knowledge of engineering administrative procedures and standards.
- Understanding of configuration control and drawing standards.
- Proficiency in MS Office suite.
- Attention to detail, self-motivation, and efficiency.
- Ability to motivate others and participate in continuous improvement activities.
- Eligibility for Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP), U.S. ITAR, and Canadian security clearances.
