Job summary

CMHA Toronto is seeking a Concurrent Disorder Specialist to join our Mental Health & Justice Case Management team. You will support individuals with mental health and addiction challenges involved with the criminal justice system, applying Housing First, harm reduction, and trauma-informed approaches to help community integration and recovery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in social work or related field is required.
• Addictions diploma or certificate or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years in community mental health and addictions.
• Knowledge of Recovery principles and Strengths Based practice.
• Knowledge of Trauma-informed Care.
• Experience with concurrent disorders, homelessness, and the justice system.
• Ability to respond to crises with compassion and sound judgment.
• Excellent communication, listening, and interpersonal skills.
