EllisDon Construction Services Inc. is seeking a Concrete & Formwork Superintendent to lead on-site activities, ensuring adherence to drawings and specifications while planning schedules, manpower, materials and inspections.

You will manage costs and coordinate with project stakeholders to keep the project on budget. Ideal candidates will have a construction-related degree or diploma and 10+ years in Special Projects, Institutional, Commercial, or Industrial work, with strong experience in

• Experience with concrete and formwork scopes.
• Self-performed work with a General Contractor is an asset.
• Knowledge of scheduling, project management and contract software.

Responsabilidades

• Manage on-site work to ensure conformance with drawings and specs.
• Plan and implement schedules, determine manpower, materials and inspections.
• Monitor performance to ensure safety rules and procedures are followed.
• Address problems, schedule conflicts and assist in resolution.
• Maintain up-to-date cost reports and changes to meet budget.
• Meet with Owners, Consultants and Architects professionally and communicate concerns.

You as a Concrete & Formwork Superintendent will:

• Managing work on site to ensure the compliance of construction with the drawings and specifications
• Planning and implementing schedules, determining manpower levels, material quantities, inspections, equipment and requirements are maintained
• Monitor work performance to ensure project rules, procedures, and safety requirements are being followed
• Manage potential problems, work interference and schedule difficulties and assist in resolving these problems
• Maintain and analyze up-to-date cost reports and submit necessary changes to ensure the project is delivered within budget
• Meet with Owners, Consultants and Architects in a professional manner and have the ability to communicate effectively both the concerns and best interests of the company

Is this the right role for you?

• You have a construction related degree/diploma with 10+ years of construction experience within Special Projects,Institutional, Commercial, and/or Industrial projectsor an equivalent combination of technical training and experience
• Experience with concrete & formwork scopes
• Experience with self-performed work with a General Contractor is an asset
• Working knowledge of scheduling, project management and contract software
• Ability to correctly identify problem situations, evaluate alternative causes and produce workable solutions in a team environment
