Job summary

GORKHALI CONSTRUCTION INC. is seeking an experienced concrete laborer to perform formwork, pour and finish concrete on-site in Surrey, BC. The role requires 2+ years of concrete experience, the ability to read blueprints, and a strong safety mindset.

The position is full-time, permanent, and based at the job site. You must be able to work at heights and stand for long periods, with no remote work option.

Qualifications

• 2 years to less than 3 years of concrete experience.
• Work must be performed at the physical location; no remote work.

Responsibilities

• Check formwork, granular base and steel reinforcement materials
• Direct placement of concrete into forms or onto surfaces according to grade
• Fill hollows and remove spots on freshly poured cement
• Work at heights, on scaffolding or swing stages
• Impart desired finish to concrete surfaces using hand and power tools
• Apply hardening and sealing components to cure surfaces
• Waterproof, damp proof and restore surfaces
• Repair, resurface and replace worn or damaged sections of concrete structures
• Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications
