Job summary

Omega 2000 Cribbing Inc. is seeking a permanent, full-time concrete technician for a hybrid work setup in Calgary. The role requires both in-person site work and remote coordination to ensure concrete placement and finishing meet grade specifications.

You will read blueprints, determine formwork needs, operate power vibrators, and perform finishing and sealing to create durable concrete surfaces across commercial and residential projects. Safety and accuracy are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience with placing concrete into forms or onto surfaces according to grade.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Check formwork, granular base and steel reinforcement materials.
• Direct placement of concrete into forms or onto surfaces according to grade.
• Fill hollows and remove spots on freshly poured cement.
• Operate power vibrators to compact concrete.
• Level top surface concrete according to grade and depth specification.
• Impart finish to concrete surfaces using hand and power tools.
• Install anchor bolts, steel plates and fixtures.
• Apply hardening and sealing components to cure surfaces.
• Waterproof, damp proof and restore surfaces.
• Repair, resurface and replace worn sections of concrete structures.
• Estimate costs and materials.
• Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications.
