Job summary

Fairmont Chateau Whistler is seeking a casual seasonal Concierge for a November to March role. Starting pay is $21.30 per hour, with increases after 6 months and at three years to $26.30 per hour.

Responsibilities include greeting guests, handling mail and plans, and advising on hotel facilities. Subsidized staff accommodation and meals during shifts are provided, along with access to our Employee Travel Program. This position is based at Whistler.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Concierge role is preferred.
• Must have professional presentation.
• Outstanding guest services and communication skills required.

Job Description

The knowledge of a great Concierge is the expectation of our Guests when staying at Fairmont Hotels & Resorts. Your ability to anticipate Guests’ needs and make informed suggestions will ensure they have a truly memorable stay.

This is a casual seasonal position running from November to end of March.

Starting Rate of Pay: $21.30 per hour

We recognize tenure through our compensation - hourly rates increase after 6 months and then yearly to three years. At three years the pay rate for this role would be $26.30

Job Duties Include:

• Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
• Assist guests with mail, messages, and any plans or arrangements they require
• Assist with any plans or arrangements the guest intends to make during their stay
• Assist guests regarding hotel facilities in an informative and helpful way
• Follow department policies, procedures and service standards

Qualifications

• Previous customer related experience an asset, ideally in a Concierge role
• Must possess a professional presentation
• Must possess outstanding guest services skills and sophisticated verbal & written communication skills
