Aramark Sports + Entertainment is hiring a Concessions Manager at the Scotiabank Centre in Halifax, Nova Scotia, to oversee on-concourse operations and lead a team of supervisors during all arena events. You will ensure staff training, schedule adherence, food and beverage service standards, and regulatory compliance including alcohol service.

The role emphasizes cost controls, inventory management, and delivering fan experiences.

Formación

• At least 2 years of related experience in management or supervisor role.
• Proven experience in special events or high-volume food and beverage within hospitality, particularly bar/beverage roles.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Comfortable working in a collaborative team dynamic.
• Complete Food Handlers and Alcohol Service Certifications as required.
• Requires lifting up to 50 lbs. and standing for extended periods.

Aramark Sports + Entertainment is looking to hire a Concessions Manager at the Scotiabank Centre in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

Scotiabank Centre is the largest multipurpose facility in Atlantic Canada and the hub for major events in Nova Scotia. As the region’s premier venue for sports and entertainment, our facility is proudly home to the Halifax Mooseheads, the Royal Nova Scotia International Tattoo, and the Halifax Thunderbirds.

WHO YOU ARE: As a Concessions Manager, you will oversee concessions operations on the concourse to support all events at the arena. You will report to the Concessions Director, while directing a team of supervisors. Together, you will ensure all staff are properly trained and scheduled to exceed fan expectations. Your primary focus will be monitoring all aspects of food and beverage service, with a keen eye to identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and fan experience. You will be a key factor in ensuring compliance to company, municipal and provincial regulatory standards including, but not limited to, Alcohol Compliance. You will work with all stakeholders to ensure a high-quality standard for Inventory management and cost controls.

Job Responsibilities

• Ensure entire team is trained and reward and recognize employees
• Manage all aspects of event scheduling and labor management through the ReadyOn application
• Manage daily and weekly payroll through the Kronos application
• Maintain an effective electronic and manual filing system ensuring employee information is up to date and accurate, including required certifications for alcohol service, general health and safety and policy compliance.
• Be a leader with progressive discipline to ensure optimum standards and compliance to Aramark expectations and standards.
• As champion of the Health and Safety committee you will work to ensure the safest working environment for all team members.
• Bring value through efficient operations, appropriate cost controls, and profit management
• Be in tune with the ever-changing needs of the clients and identify opportunities for adjustments in operations
• Delivery client and company financial targets
• Adopt all Aramark processes and systems, understand performance metrics, data, order and inventory trends
• Supervise team regarding production, quality and control

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of related experience in management or supervisor role required
• Proven experience in special events or high-volume food and beverage within the hospitality industry, particularly in a bar or beverage-related role.
• Must have excellent communication and organizational skills
• Must be comfortable working in a collaborative team dynamic
• Complete Food Handlers and Alcohol Service Certifications as required
• Requires occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 50 lbs. and ability to stand for extended periods of time

Must have availability to work event-based hours including evening, weekend, and potentially holiday hours.

The pay range for this position is $58,000.00 - $65,000.00.
