Hours: 39 hours per week

  • Monday to Thursday: 07:00 – 15:30
  • Friday: 07:00 – 14:00
  • Salary: Negotiable, depending on experience and qualifications

About Us

Timber Shield Fire Doors Ltd is a leading manufacturer of high-performance fire doors, committed to quality, safety, and innovation. We are looking for a dedicated and skilled CNC Operator to join our growing team and support the production of precision-engineered timber fire doors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate CNC machinery to produce components to specification
  • Set up machines and tooling based on job requirements and technical drawings
  • Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of machines
  • Inspect finished products for quality assurance
  • Read and interpret technical drawings and job orders
  • Ensure adherence to health & safety and quality standards
  • Collaborate with the production team to meet deadlines and improve processes
  • Work effectively as part of a team, contributing to a positive and productive work environment
  • Support other areas of production as required, where appropriate to your skill set and competence

Requirements

  • Proven experience operating CNC machinery (preferably in woodwork or joinery)
  • Ability to read technical drawings and follow detailed instructions
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Good understanding of health & safety in a manufacturing environment
  • Team player with a flexible and proactive approach to work
  • Willingness to support other production tasks when needed
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or collaboratively
  • Forklift or lifting equipment experience (desirable but not essential)
