Competitive Pay – Based on Experience

Shift Notice: Monday through Thursday 6am-4pm. Will transition to Tuesday-Friday after probation period.

We’re on the hunt for a skilled Machine Operator with experience in laser and punch/laser combo machines to join our fast-paced metal processing team. If you’re a pro with Trumpf or Amada equipment, this role is made for you.

About the Role

As a Machine Operator, you’ll apply metal to customer orders by expertly operating, programming, and maintaining advanced laser and punch machinery. You’ll follow detailed work orders and blueprints to deliver high-quality parts, safely and on schedule.

️ What You'll Do

• Maintain or repair equipment where applicable.
• Produce parts for production line required by job type specified below.
• Complete and maintain paperwork.
• Resolve/notify production issues.
• Ensure machine is calibrated & cleaned as per 6S requirements.
• Ensure working environment is clean and safe.
• Report inaccurate bill of material & routings.
• Complete quality control spot inspections/measure and confirm part specifications to drawing.
• Identify & implement process improvements.
• Meet customer specifications and delivery requirements.
• Maintain proper logins for computer system.
• Meet labour performance requirements of job routings.
• Count parts being completed.
• Required to assist other shop areas if production is slow including but not limited to: Grinding, Hardware, Packaging, Assembly, Shake-out, Deburring, Cutting, Machine loading and Tapping

Job Specific Responsibilities:

• Loading correct material.
• Creating and loading cutting/punching programs.
• Loading tooling as required by the cutting/punching program.
• Sharpen and maintain tools as per manufacturing requirements.
• Operate fork lift.
• Maintain catalog of tooling and order replacement or new tooling as required.
• Perform general maintenance where required including but not limited to:
• Oil change
• Maintain punches and dyes
• Laser lenses

What You Bring

• 2+ years of experience operating laser or punch/laser combo machines
• Preferred experience with Trumpf or Amada equipment and software
• Knowledge of cutting/punching technology and strong mechanical aptitude
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
• Basic computer proficiency
• Solid teamwork, verbal and written communication skills
• Forklift operation skills
• Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs
• Certified steel-toed shoes required
