Qualifications

  • Baccalauréat en comptabilité ou finance exigé.

Job description

Founded in 1995, Cogir Immobilier manages 6 million square feet of commercial real estate and 43,000 housing units including more than 220 private residences for seniors. The Cogir Foundation supports projects and causes grouped under four main axes, namely young people, seniors, cultural diversity and the environment.Office(s) available : Brossard and / or Montreal. Purpose of the position

Reporting to the Chief Compliance Officer, the Compliance Analyst will be responsible for performing daily review, verification and monitoring tasks to ensure that their residence portfolio complies with internal policies and procedures . He will work closely with the various teams to identify, assess and mitigate non-compliance risks. In collaboration with the Chief Compliance Officer, the analyst will participate in the development and implementation of compliance policies and procedures. Specifically, your daily life with us will look like :

  • Performs review of internal controls for its residence portfolio
  • Coordinate monthly income verification
  • Monthly review of accounts receivable and accounts payable auxiliaries
  • Verification of balance sheet accounts and ensures that supporting documents are adequate and available
  • Analyzes fixed assets (additions, dispositions and depreciation)
  • Review of payroll verification certificates
  • Collaborates with different teams to implement corrective and preventive measures
  • Provide compliance advice and expertise to internal stakeholders
  • Identify non-compliance risks and propose effective solutions
  • Any other related tasks.

  • Ability to work independently with a high level of autonomy while ensuring deadlines are met
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Natural curiosity to better understand the challenges and opportunities encountered
  • Great sense of professionalism, integrity and ethics
  • Good knowledge of the MS Office suite
  • Travel to Toronto (Mississauga) : 20% annually
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in French and English.

Required qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA an asset)
  • Experience with SOX controls (an asset)
