Job summary

Superior Propane Inc. is seeking a Compensation Consultant on a 9-month contract to drive job architecture, market pricing, merit and incentive programs across corporate, non-union, and skilled labour roles.

You will partner with HR and senior leadership to deliver data-driven, market-competitive solutions. The role requires independent work, hands-on compensation cycle experience, and familiarity with Dayforce across Canada and the United States considered an asset.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, Finance, or related field.
  • 4–7 years of compensation experience in a large complex org.
  • Hands-on with job evaluation, architecture, market benchmarking, merit cycles, incentives, analytics.
  • Experience supporting corporate, non-union, blue-collar and skilled labour populations.
  • Strong knowledge of pay equity, transparency, salary structures, and regulatory compliance.
  • Advanced Excel and analytical skills; translate data into actionable recommendations.
  • Experience with HRIS and compensation systems; Dayforce is an asset.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with senior leaders.

  • Administer annual merit, incentive plans, and off-cycle compensation reviews, including forecasting, reporting, communications, and system support.
  • Analyze market data, internal equity, financial impacts, and governance requirements to develop sound compensation recommendations.
  • Prepare clear, data-driven insights, reports, cost models, and forecasts to support HR leaders and workforce planning decisions.
  • Contribute to pay transparency, pay equity, compensation policy documentation, and governance initiatives.
  • Provide guidance to HR partners on job leveling, market positioning, and policy interpretation.
  • Participate in compensation projects and other initiatives as assigned.

We are seeking a Compensation Consultant for a 9-month contract to support job architecture, market analysis, annual merit, and incentive programs within a large, complex organization. This role partners closely with HR and senior leadership to deliver data‑driven, market‑competitive compensation solutions across corporate, non‑union, and skilled labour roles.

This opportunity is ideal for an experienced compensation professional who can work independently, quickly integrate with the team, and bring hands‑on compensation cycle and HRIS experience; Dayforce experience across Canada and the United States is considered an asset.

What you’ll do

What you bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
  • 4–7 years of dedicated compensation experience in a large, complex organization.
  • Hands‑on experience with job evaluation, job architecture, market benchmarking, merit cycles, incentive programs, and compensation analytics.
  • Experience supporting corporate, non‑union, blue‑collar, and skilled labour populations.
  • Strong knowledge of compensation principles, pay equity, pay transparency, salary structures, and regulatory compliance.
  • Advanced Excel and analytical skills, with the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable recommendations.
  • Experience with HRIS and compensation systems; Dayforce experience is an asset.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, including the ability to advise HR partners and senior leaders.
  • High attention to detail, sound judgment, and a strong commitment to confidentiality and data integrity.
  • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) designation completed or in progress is strongly preferred.
Salary

The expected annual salary range for this role is $70,000–$90,000, based on skills, experience, qualifications, and geography. As this is a contract opportunity, benefit and incentive eligibility will be confirmed based on the terms of the assignment.
