Job summary

Hopewell Support Services in Ariss, Ontario is seeking a compassionate Support Services Worker for a six-month temporary part-time role at our residential and respite services team. You will support individuals with developmental and physical disabilities across multiple sites in Guelph-Wellington, providing daily living assistance and implementing behavior support plans.

Qualifications

• College Certificate (1 year or less) or better.
• Experience in Social and Community Services, Developmental Sector.
• Valid Class G driver’s license.
• University or college degree/diploma in a relevant field.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals to live independently, encourage and engage individuals in meaningful activities such as leisure, recreational or work activities.
• Support independence with daily living programs (toileting, feeding, grooming etc.).
• Maintain knowledge of current best practices in Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) through training and data reporting.
• Provide personal care support according to care plan, including first aid, CPR, CPI, WHMIS and medication procedures.
• Complete required documentation and maintain training as per policy.
