Job summary

The Hospice of Windsor and Essex County in Windsor, Ontario is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our residence team. You will provide direct, patient-centred end-of-life care, assess needs, develop care plans, and coordinate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure comfort and dignity for patients and families.

This role supports the Hospice Residence Manager, collaborates with physicians, social workers and volunteers, mentors staff, and participates in quality improvement.

Qualifications

• Legally entitled to work in Canada.
• Valid Police Record Check including vulnerable sector check (within six months of hire).
• French language skills are an asset.
• Flexible hours (days, nights, weekends, holidays) required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct, hands-on end-of-life care within CNO scope of practice.
• Assess and develop individualized care plans focused on comfort, dignity and quality of life.
• Coordinate with an interdisciplinary team including physicians, social workers, and volunteers.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, prognosis and care options with compassion.
• Mentor new staff and support Hospice Residence Manager with daily operations.
• Contribute to quality improvement and adherence to best practices.
