Job summary

Dundurn Place Care Centre in Hamilton, ON is seeking a Registered Nurse to coordinate resident-focused care, align with the Home's philosophy, and promote its values. The RN reports to the Director of Care and oversees care delivery, medications, and documentation.

Starting wage is $36.06 per hour with a casual vacancy type of 30 hours per month. Requirements include a Certificate of Competence as RN in Ontario, CPR, and ability to work with interdisciplinary teams; we offer competitive wages

Qualifications

• Current Certificate of Competence with the College of Nurses of Ontario as Registered Nurse
• Basic CPR
• Experience in long term care setting an asset
• Ability to work with interdisciplinary team members
• Knowledge of RAI-MDS – AIS certified, if not must be completed within 1 year of being hired

Responsibilities

• Develop and modify care plans in response to residents’ health care needs
• Liaise with health care personnel, agencies and families
• supervise unit activities and direct PSWs/RPNs as needed
• Monitor performance and complete evaluations for PSWs and RPNs
• Administer medications and treatments per policies and procedures
• Document nursing observations and care in compliance with laws and Home policies
