Job summary

Alberta Health Services is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for Elk Point Healthcare Centre in a casual/relief role within Long Term Care. You will provide patient- and family-centered nursing services, work with a multidisciplinary team, and help maintain a safe environment while observing and reporting on patient well-being.

Requirements include an accredited nursing education program, CRNA registration eligibility, BCLS-HCP, and 2+ years of RN experience with seniors or acute care; wound care

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited nursing education program.
• Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the CRNA.
• Current BCLS-HCP certification.
• Minimum of 2 years’ RN experience within the last 5 years with Seniors Health, AcuteCare or clinical nursing.
• Wound care experience.
• Minimum of 2 years charge nurse experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide a wide variety of nursing services to patients, families and communities while ensuring safety.
• Lead an integrated and holistic approach to patient care, health promotion and maintenance.
• Provide safe, high‑quality patient and family centred care and communicate with clients, families and health professionals.
