Job summary

RhynoCare is hiring an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to work at a long-term care facility in Kapuskasing, ON. The RN will be hired as an Independent Contractor and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care to residents.

Qualifications

• Current and active registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Flexibility to work 8- or 12-hour shifts.
• Willingness to work in multiple units as needed.
• Reliable with attendance and scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, competent nursing per CNO standards and resident care plans.
• Apply evidence-based decisions to meet residents' physical, psychological, and social needs.
• Ensure family- and resident-centered care, promoting dignity and autonomy.
• Support safe admissions, transfers and discharges with clear communication.
• Safely administer and safeguard medications and treatments, including narcotics.
• Collaborate with the interprofessional team and guide RPNs/PSWs.
• Keep timely, accurate documentation per Ontario College standards.
• Respond to medical emergencies following established protocols.
• Identify risks and support safety and quality improvement.
