RhynoCare is seeking an experienced Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) to work in Long Term Care facilities in London, Ontario. You will be hired as an Independent Contractor and provide high-quality nursing care within a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Current and active registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO).
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team setting.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Flexibility to work various shift lengths (8 or 12 hours).
• Able and willing to work in different units within a healthcare facility.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, competent, and ethical nursing and personal care in accordance with CNO standards, organizational policies, physician orders, and resident care plans.
• Apply evidence-informed decision making and professional judgment to support residents’ needs.
• Ensure family and resident-centered care, promoting dignity, autonomy, and resident choice.
• Support safe admissions, transfers, and discharges with clear communication.
• Maintain accountability for administration and safekeeping of medications and treatments in compliance with requirements.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, guiding PSWs and staff as appropriate.
• Ensure accurate, timely documentation in accordance with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
• Respond promptly to medical emergencies and initiate interventions per protocols.
• Contribute to a culture of safety, quality improvement and learning; report risks.
