Job summary

Comfort Keepers of North Georgia in Victoria, BC is seeking a Registered Care Aide to support clients in their homes across the island and surrounding communities. You will assist with activities of daily living, mobility, and personal care under the guidance of the health care team.

The role requires completion of a Health Care Assistant Program, BC Registry Number, and a valid background check. A driver’s license with a reliable vehicle is a bonus.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a recognized Health Care Assistant Program or equivalent.
• Criminal record check is required.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to organize work.

Responsibilities

• Assist in delivering client care and home support under the health care team.
• Observe and report significant changes in client’s presentation.
• Collaborate with the health care team to maximize independence in ADLs/IADLs.
• Assist with bathing, mobility, dressing, feeding, and toileting.
• Help with meals, groceries, laundry and other household tasks.
