Job summary

Comfort Keepers Victoria is seeking a Registered Care Aide to join our team serving the Greater Victoria area. Shifts range from 3 to 12 hours, with flexible hours and 24/7 service coverage.

The role involves assisting clients with ADLs/IADLs, collaborating with the health-care team, and maintaining a safe, clean living environment. Training is provided, and a driver’s license is a bonus.

Qualifications

• Must have completed a recognized Health Care Assistant Program or equivalent with BC Registry Number.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
• Ability to work well with clients, families, and health-care teams.
• Physical ability to perform caregiving tasks and mobility support.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle are a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in delivering client care and home support under health care team direction.
• Observe and report changes in client condition to health-care team.
• Support ADLs and IADLs to maximize client independence.
• Assist with bathing, dressing, mobility, feeding, and toileting.
• Assist with household tasks: meal prep, groceries, laundry, etc.
