Job summary

Eatonville Care Centre in Etobicoke, ON, is seeking a Health Care Aide / Personal Support Worker to assist residents with daily living activities and provide compassionate care. You will report to the Director of Care and work in a casual, part-time capacity with flexible shifts.

The role emphasizes safety, accurate documentation, and collaboration with RPNs to implement care plans. A 600-hour PSW program and CPR/First Aid are preferred; ability to lift up to 20 lbs is required.

Qualifications

• PSW certification program must be at least 600 hours (class + practicum).
• CPR and First Aid certifications preferred but not mandatory.
• Physically and mentally able to perform duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) per care plan.
• Monitor residents’ well-being and report changes to RPNs; document accordingly.
• Maintain resident safety per care plan and follow protective measures.
• Document daily activities and care in electronic health records accurately and timely.
• Support meal service and nourishment delivery as required.
• Collaborate in resident care conferences to improve care plans.
