Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience in human services, supported housing, or persons with disabilities/addictions.
• Knowledge and understanding of Indigenous culture.
• Must pass criminal record check and vulnerable sector check.
• Driver’s license & Vehicle.
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
• Computer skills.
• Ability to work independently.
• Excellent time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Review communications board, emails and logbooks on shift; review on-call schedule.
• Respond to client needs and requests in a friendly and courteous manner.
• Ensure property security alarms and cameras are on and functional.
• Assist program staff to ensure safety of staff and residents.
• Maintain logs of unusual occurrences or suspicious activities.
• Respond to accidents, contact EMS, or administer first aid/CPR as required.
• Provide culturally sensitive outreach, case management, and other services.
• Housing placement and independent living skills support for clients.
• Escort appointments and provide home visits and family counselling as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality and complete program documents.
