Job summary

The Government of Saskatchewan is seeking a dedicated individual for a full-time disability programs role at Southwood Home in Prince Albert. You will promote person-centered services, support daily living, and help individuals achieve quality of life through community participation and compassionate care.

Qualifications

• Experience or education with individuals with intellectual disabilities is an asset (Special Care Aide program preferred).
• Ability to work in a learning and supportive environment, with effective communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• effectively communicate both verbally and in written form.
• apply standard safety precautions and practices according to established protocols, safety guidelines and existing legislation.
• work both independently and as a team player to co-operatively accomplish program objectives/goals and create and maintain a positive work environment.
• anticipate, recognize, and react to conflict situations by exercising sound judgement and resolution.
• assist with all activities of daily living and life skills.
