Job summary

The Salvation Army in Canada is seeking a dedicated housekeeping professional to maintain a clean and safe environment at the Ottawa Booth Centre and Anchorage Programs. You will perform essential cleaning tasks across common areas, resident spaces, and facilities, ensuring safety protocols are followed and supplies are stocked as needed.

This role requires 1–3 years of housekeeping experience, WHMIS training, and the ability to work with marginalized populations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1–3 years housekeeping experience with marginalized populations is preferred.
• WHMIS training is a plus; bilingual English/French is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Provide a clean and safe environment at the Ottawa Booth Centre and Anchorage Programs.
• Perform general upkeep of common areas, resident rooms, floors, washrooms, windows, dusting and trash disposal.
• Restock washroom supplies and distribute materials as needed.
• Follow universal precautions and hazardous materials procedures.
• Assist in preventing bedbug spread and maintain courteous conduct with clients and staff.
