Job summary

Alberta Health Services is seeking a Health Care Aide (HCA) in Hardisty to work with a multidisciplinary team providing personal care and support to patients across care settings.

The role involves assisting with daily living activities, hygiene, nutrition, mobility, and safety; observing patient wellbeing and reporting changes; and collaborating with nurses and care staff under supervision of a regulated health professional.

Qualifications

• Active or eligible for CLHA registration as Health Care Aide.
• Proof of Health Care Aide Certificate within 18 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal assistance with activities of daily living per patient care plan.
• Assist nurses with routine care and report patient mood, health and wellbeing.
• Support patients across home, community and health care facilities.
• Maintain a safe environment and effective communication with care team.
