Job summary

Alberta Health Services' Radway Cont Care Centre is seeking a Health Care Aide to support daily living activities and assist with routine care under supervision of a regulated health professional.

You will work with patients, families, and care teams across home and facility settings, with shifts including days, evenings, and weekends; 0.70 FTE and part-time status.

A valid Health Care Aide certificate or eligibility for CLHA registration is required within 18 months of hire.

Qualifications

• Active or eligible for registration with the College of LPNs and HCAs of Alberta (CLHA) as a Health Care Aide, with proof of education or completion within 18 months of hire.
• Proof of education or completion of Health Care Aide Certificate within 18 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal assistance with activities of daily living.
• Assist nurses with routine care including hygiene, nutrition, mobility, recreation and safety.
• Observe and report on patients' mood, health and wellbeing.
• Support communication with patients, families and health care professionals.
