Job summary

Alberta Health Services in Drumheller is seeking a Health Care Aide to join a rural 88-bed Long Term Care unit. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to provide person-centered care, assist with daily living activities, and support residents with dementia while promoting independence and wellbeing.

Under supervision, you will help with hygiene, nutrition, mobility, recreation, and safety. The role requires HCA certification or eligibility and offers part-time, regular hours with a biweekly

Qualifications

• Active registration or eligibility with CLHA as Health Care Aide.
• Completion of Health Care Aide Certificate within 18 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and assist with activities of daily living per the care plan.
• Support independence and offer emotional support to patients and families.
• Assist nurses with routine care (hygiene, nutrition, mobility, safety) and observe/report on patients' wellbeing.
• Maintain a safe environment and support effective communication among the care team.
